Gates, Tanksley & Sokeland earn IHSBCA Awards

Each year the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association (IHSBCA) awards individuals for their accomplishments for the year. The IHSBCA also selects the Annual North/South All Star Teams, All-State Teams, and Player of the Year when the season is concluded.


This past weekend, the IHSBCA met and awarded their all-district awards throughout the state. There are 16 districts and each district has a Player of the Year (POY) , Coach of Year, Asst Coach of Year, Umpire of Year, and Media of the Year. BNL is located in District M that includes over 20+ surrounding school systems.
BNL Baseball has been fortunate enough to receive multiple IHSBCA All District (M) Award Winners for 2025!!!
  • Cal Gates - Player of the Year
  • Tate Tanksley - All District Team - Catcher
  • Justin Sokeland - Media of the Year

What a great accomplishment for all 3 of these outstanding individuals!! Congratulations!!!!

Meaning of a BNL Baseball Player

Being a BNL Baseball player is an honor and wearing "Stars" across your chest gives our players a sense of pride and confidence.

T = Two hundred feet
A = Attitude is everything
R = Respect the game
S = Selfless
