Relay For Life - Making A Difference!!!!!

Wow! What a great event. Last Saturday night, June 20th, the BNL Baseball capped off an incredible community service project by participating in the Relay For Life event at the Parkview track. It all started at the first RBI Club meeting with the introduction of the Coaches vs. Cancer "Let`s Strikeout Cancer" program sponsored by the American Cancer Society. Keri Barker, Teresa Holler, Wendy Ramsey, Gary Miller, and Paige Callahan took the bull by the horns and the planning began of how to make this a baseball program/community event. We definitely exceeded all expectations (and all other schools) with the amount of money raised. What started as an idea developed into to the wooden bat game and ended with almost 30 baseball family members and players walking the Relay.

Special thanks go to Keri Barker and her family for spear-heading the RELAY FOR LIFE games, prizes, and organization over the 8 hour relay event.

The BNL Baseball program raised $5,000.00 for the American Cancer Society. Well Done!
